European Union
The European Union (EU) is an economic and
political union of 27 member states, located primarily in Europe. Committed to
regional integration, the EU was established by the Treaty of Maastricht on 1
November 1993 upon the foundations of the pre-existing European Economic
Community. With almost 500 million citizens, the EU combined generates an
estimated 30% share (US$18.4 trillion in 2008) of the nominal gross world
product.

United Nations
The United Nations (UN) is an international
organization whose stated aims are facilitating cooperation in international
law, international security, economic development, social progress, human
rights, and the achieving of world peace. The UN was founded in 1945 after World
War II to replace the League of Nations, to stop wars between countries, and to
provide a platform for dialogue. It contains multiple subsidiary organizations
to carry out its missions.

Wikipedia
Wikipedia is a free, web-based and
collaborative multilingual encyclopedia project supported by the non-profit
Wikimedia Foundation. Its name is a portmanteau of the words wiki (a technology
for creating collaborative websites, from the Hawaiian word wiki, meaning
"quick") and encyclopedia. Wikipedia's 13 million articles (3 million in
English) have been written collaboratively by volunteers around the world, and
almost all of its articles can be edited by anyone who can access the Wikipedia
website. Launched in 2001 by Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger, it is currently the
largest and most popular general reference work on the Internet.

YouTube
YouTube is a video sharing website on which
users can upload and share videos. The company is based in San Bruno,
California, and uses Adobe Flash Video technology to display a wide variety of
user-generated video content, including movie clips, TV clips, and music videos,
as well as amateur content such as video blogging and short original videos.
Most of the content on YouTube has been uploaded by individuals, although media
corporations including CBS, the BBC, UMG and other organizations offer some of
their material via the site, as part of the YouTube partnership program.
